The Voyages of​​​​​​​ Henri Saintclair
Henry Sinclair, Earl of Orkney in the 14th century, is a historical figure surrounded by theories that suggest he may have reached the Americas long before Columbus, a narrative that blends exploration, navigation, and mystery, and continues to spark curiosity.
For this project, we developed the opening animation for the series “The Voyages of​​​​​​​ Henri Saintclair ” designed to introduce the title and highlight the narrator - Billy Boyd. We worked from the provided visual identity, exploring subtle motion, controlled pacing, and a minimalist aesthetic that reinforces the investigative tone and the atmosphere defined by the direction.
This opening sequence was designed to follow a chronological narrative of Henry Sinclair’s story, using a nearly continuous camera movement to reveal key historical moments. Each transition guides the viewer through the main chapters of his journey, visually unfolding the legend behind the name.
